Yesterday saw Luke Simon Photography 'down the Port', or more correctly, in Port Adelaide. I caught up with Bonnie and Steve to go over their wedding plans and to hunt for some locations for the fast approaching big day. We will have one hour for bridal photography on the day, so I really wanted to make sure we planned it well, making full use of the light and great locations I was sure must be around the area...

These guys are going to have absolutely no problems in front of the camera on their wedding day. For two people who said they were not real comfortable having their photograph taken they did a pretty awesome job at looking like pros. I met up with Shanna and Michal in North Adelaide on Monday for a beer, chat and quick 'recce' shoot. We took a wander and had a great time. Hello ! Welcome to the blog of Luke Simon Photography. Like most blogs I guess, this is here to document the work we do and give you a little insight into our world. I'm hoping that the point of difference here will be the images. I'll let you be the judge though. Each year I'm fortunate enough to photograph numerous weddings of some really inspirational and unique couples - and hopefully you'll agree, capture some equally unique and inspirational images from their day. We have been lucky enough to have recently spent 7 weeks in the United Kingdom. During this time I had the great fortune of catching up with one of the countries best wedding photojournalists David Pullum. He puts me to shame. I accompanied David on a wedding down in Devon and we had a great day talking all things photography and plenty of other rubbish. Check out Davids blog. Things are off to a great start since returning from some downtime in the UK, finding 4 silver awards issued for our 4 prints entered in the National Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) awards.
