A while back I caught up with Carla and Darran for some adventures back in their home town. Time for a little Kangaroo Island Engagement shoot. Both Carla and Darran grew up on Kangaroo Island, but never really noticed each other much until late in their teens. With their local knowledge and my memories of some of the great places I’d visited with my folks and siblings on family camping trips as a kid, I was treated to a truly special perspective and some access to unique, lesser known locations of this stunning South Australian jewel.

After a visit to Vivonne Bay with their two beautiful labs for a run around on the beach, we stopped in a General Store for one of their famous Whiting Burgers and a beer, then we ventured an hour west, across and up a bit, to the north coast of the island. Stopping via eucalyptus plantations and native bush, we arrived at our final destination, a privately owned bay. We spent a few hoursĀ  exploring the original ruins of the property and followed it up with some rock hopping with the hounds. We capped off the day with a few wines by the camp fire, as the sun set over the ocean. Not a bad day at the office.

Here’s a snippet of the adventures of this beautiful day.

Also, spot the dude flicking the drone the finger in the jetty shots!!
