I never anticipated that one day I'd be asked to fly across the globe to photograph a wedding. Humbled and honoured, I (of course) jumped at the opportunity. In July I flew to Rome and happily made my way to the border of Umbria and Tuscany to photograph and celebrate the week-long wedding of Alecia and Alasdair. The venue, Villa Baroncino
, is jaw-droppingly spectacular, with views across a valley overlooking Lake Tresimeno.
Set amongst 100+ year old olive trees and hillsides dotted with typically picturesque homesteads, I was unsure where to point my camera for the first few days.
I could dribble on for hours but I won't. Two more things I do want to say....thanks again Alecia and Alasdair, for trusting me with the privilege of capturing your day and secondly, Villa Baroncino have asked me back next year! So if you are interested in me photographing your wedding or a portrait session that will be happening in Europe during the European summer, then I'd love to hear from you.
