22 Aug More from Italy | Cortona, Tuscany
I’ve been planning to revisit Alecia and Alasdair’s wedding photographs for days now and a g’day email from Alecia this evening got me thinking about some of the ridiculously amazingly beautiful places I visited. On the Friday of the week long wedding festivities, a whole bunch of us headed up to the hillside town of Cortona, about 30 minutes drive from the Villa, and just across the border into Tuscany. There is just one range of hills that separate Villa Baroncino in Umbria from Tuscany, and the ridge of this range is where these two stunning regions meet.
We took a short walk around the town, found a few great little nooks and crannies and came back together in the Piazza for some late lunch. My aim was to ‘out-eat’ the big friendly man-mountain Paul, hubby to Sarah, who’s wedding I had photographed back in the Adelaide Hills in April last year.(and who’s photo’s embarrassingly, I cannot find on my blog to link you to !) – I do believe I succeeded with my quest, I ate a Mussels entree, Wild Boar Ragout Pasta thingo for main course, and chased that down with a pizza and 2 very large beers…oh and then half hour later we had some icecream. Not a wonder I came back with a little more waist luggage really 🙂
Anyway, enough about my diet – a few pics of the lovely couple on this outing below !
So…this next one I cannot decide – Colour or Black & White ???
