Chantal & Brandon | Glen Ewin Estate

Adelaide wedding photographer Luke Simon capturing a beautiful wedding in South Australia….

Glen Ewin Estate is a really a really pretty wedding venue at the best of times but it’s even more spectacular when the gods are kind and the sun shines when you’d like it to. Chantal and Brandon flew in from the UK a week prior to their wedding, from below zero temps to superb South Australian weather. The fellas looked smashing – I love a well tailored grey suit. Chantal and the girls looked far better than the guys of course, but they did deserve a special mention I thought.

Rebecca & Travis | Glenelg Golf Club

Another great day. Down to earth folk with hearts of gold. Ceremony was held at Kingston House and the reception was held at Glenelg Golf Club. All the guests were very ready to boogy (before dinner from memory) and get stuck into the booze but no-one was more ready for the dance floor than Bec – she ruled it, owner it and busted out every move you could imagine…very funny and enjoyable to document.

Amanda & Jay – The Lane Vineyard

Great wedding. Weather was not ideal once again (what’s with this summer !?) but no matter – the gods came up with the goods once more with a beautiful rainbow and some dramatic lighting. Amanda and Jay wanted  an extremely relaxed approach taken to their wedding photography with very little structure….just lots of wonderful candid moments with their mates…t’was great to be a part of it all and document it for them. The Lane Vineyard is one a my favourites and Jason, the venue/event manager is a legend (no he does not pay me to say this – it’s just great to see such undivided attention to detail and service.

Dane

DANE

Dane has been working with me here at Luke Simon Weddings for the past 4 years as an assistant photographer at weddings, shooting some additional weddings as the principal photographer as well as helping out with post production and editing in the studio. With a similar style and perspective on life, Dane brings a bunch of great qualities to the Luke Simon Team.

Some words from Dane -

‘As a photographer, I approach each and every wedding with the same intent: to creatively capture the personalities, relationships and events of such a special day.

I do this as discreetly as possible, preferring to observe rather than direct. However, there will be certain situations which require a minimal amount of instruction. This will depend on ‘our’ intended photographic vision which will be discussed prior.

Communication is essential for me as a photographer to successfully bring to life the ideas and images you have for your wedding day. To achieve this, a relaxed meeting will be arranged to discuss possibilities regarding styles, times and locations etc.’

Some weddings Dane has been the principal photographer -
