Belinda-Bill

Belinda and Bill

Well, I’m slowly getting the hang of this blogging business and making some time to make regular posts…here’s another.

Belinda and Bill…very chilled couple, friggin hot day. I’m pretty sure it hit 40 degrees and then some. Not quite sure how nobody ended up in the pool actually. A great Greek Orthodox ceremony in Unley followed by a very quick stop for some photos on the way to the reception which was all set up on Belinda’s folks tennis court at their place in Springfield. Nice.

I don’t chase portrait / family photography work but every now and then I’ll have the request from a past wedding client or bridesmaid of a wedding, so I shoot maybe 6 or 7 of these a year. Kelly and Brendan were a couple who’s wedding I shot back in April 2008. Lovely couple and now they have a very cute son – here’s a snippet. A lot of this was shot on a 50mm at f1.8. really enjoying this lens.

Christmas…very belated!

Anna and Scott – Wedding

Anna and Scott lovely people and cute to boot. We had a great day, they were relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera and right into each other which made capturing great images that much easier (not that I look for an easy way out). The girls almost got cleaned up by a nice little wave that snuck up behind them while posing for a snap. One of the images below tells that story. Hot chips under the jetty, some bridal dance practice, the list goes on…an enjoyable day by anyones standards.

Gardening Australia – Tom & Irene

This was such a great gig for Gardening Australia Magazine. Both such passionate gardeners and me being such a novice gardener I spent the first hour just walking amazed through their garden. 12 espaliered fruit trees, some 40 years old and a journal of every planting of the last 30 years ! Tom was a real character and we got on like a house on fire. To follow are a few of the images I really like from the day.

Tanya and Tony – Wedding

Tanya and Tony were a bit unlucky with the weather but were such great sports…they braved the elements, my gear got soaked but survived. The ceremony was held at Bethany Church in Bethany, Tanunda, in the Barossa Valley – a lovely little church in the country a fair way from pretty much anything. After some time getting caught in the rain and a few minutes without rain the reception kicked on at Maggie Beers on the outskirts of Nuriootpa. Some images from their day..

I should be ashamed of myself…well I am actually.

There is no good excuse for my lack of posts. I’ve got to pull my socks up. Apologies for anyone who has been checking in recently to see what’s been happening.

Here’s a bit of a rundown since my last entry and images will follow shortly -
